Ok new to this forum. Wanted some input. My 7 yr old killed his first deer this year and wants a bow like dad. What would be a good bow to start him out with. He is 4'6 and 90+ lbs so not your typical 2nd grader lol. And here is the other trick he is a lefty. Whats your opinion on what to start him out with bow wise? poundage?

Um, what did he kill it with?
Anyway, get him a parker - sidekick. Those things will last a lifetime. They have places for tons of attachments, and they also have replaceable limbs. Set it at 25, and move up when he feels confident
    with it.

    Welcome to the site!

I would most certainly look at the Diamond Razor Edge. I know many that shoot it including my daughter and you can't go wrong.

He shot it with a 243. Kid is a good shot. I thought he would miss but it was one of those things. Thanks for the advice.

I have a used PSE Spider LH youth bow that I would sell you for $50. Let me know if you're interested and I can get you more information and pics.

Another vote for the Razors Edge. Both my kids have them, great little bows. Congrats to your son!

only downside is that once they get better the site needs to be replaced, its kinda cheezy but works... i upgraded my sons to a used 4pin G5, it was only like $45 shipped so it was a worthy addition after 3 years of the stock site...

Have to agree with the poor quality of the site but for the price atleast you get one! And I guess for just learning it isn't bad.
