Hello, new to forum, pretty new to bowhunting, started 2 years ago. Currently shoot a 2011 PSE Vendetta xs, 28in, draw,65lb. Looking for advice on good arrow/broadhead combo, currently shoot gold tip 5575 / montech broadheads. Gets the job done but wondering if something better. Thanks

preacherman, here is my humble opinion. If your arrows are hitting where you want them, and when they hit they kill, then why change anything? If you want to change to spice some things up and keep bowhunting fresh, then I suggest getting a similar broadhead to the montecs.

Sounds like the arrow/head combo I killed my first bow buck with. I changed to a heavier bow so moved up to a lot heavier arrows. But still use the same head. Stick with what you got...it's a solid choice. If you change anything, change your arrows. But, I wouldn't if theyre hitting good for you.

I have always been a CX fan for arrows, but i recently bought the Easton Bloodlines 330's and couldnt be happier with them. Recently there have been a few threads about tight nocks ( whcih my cx's had ) These bloodline nocks are fantastic. they coldnt fit any better.

I recently had to change broadheads because my previous ones were bought out and the new "company" now charges double the price. Also my new heads are more widely available.

Montecs are a nice head. If they are flying good why change?

If you are like a lot of us out there and just want to see if there is something a bit better/different, the check out the qad exodus heads. Awesome little heads and ver sturdy.

Love the steelforce phatheads as well. If you have a fast bow, form is absolutely neccassary.

If you dont mind paying about 75 for 3 heads, the german kinetic heads are super hard to beat. Balance perfect and fly great. (I havent shot them over 300 fps yet).

As Virginiashadow said, if they are doing what you want them to its a win, you might want to then simply look to something else simply to save money. I like the radial xweave hunters by pse theyre not badly priced for bare shafts, if your looking for well priced broadheads take a look at Woody's Outbacks, theyre tough and well priced, hope that helps mate.
