advice on a skull mount needed!

plan on going with a skull mount this year to decorate my deer leg bow hanger.what is the quickest way to get the meat off? my buddy said to boil it and it would come off easy but you still have to deal with the brain and eyes but i want to know the different methods that folks use

 

2 years ago that's the way I did two 8 pointers that I shot in Texas. Just takes time. I think taxidermist's use beatles and they work neat and fast. I don't know if you can order them bugs from someone on the net or not. No idea on that and cost if avail.

For S and G's. I looked. check this link out. http://www.skulltaxidermy.com/kits.html. Boiling would be your best bet unless you wanna shell out 60 bucks.

 

I boiled a couple of my bucks a few years back. It is time consuming but they turned out well. I used some bleaching gel I bought at Sally's beauty supply to get the skulls a little whiter once I was done boiling them. I know some people spray paint them white and that looks good as well.

If you're going to boil your own skulls, do yourself a favor and order in some of this... It'll make your job a ton easier.
