I'm getting a new set and was thinking something portable...i am on a budget..i'm thinking a decent hang on and some climbing sticks of some sort...

I am seeking advice from you dudes and i will consider all opinions....

Here is where i am at so far...lone wolf climbing sticks and gorilla Kong HX hanger..

I'm looking for portability, no more than 30-35lbs total and around $200-$250 total...

    Any help will be appreciated...

    thnx, Jeff

I would save some more money and get the LW Alpha and Climbing Sticks, very mobile and will set up in any tree in the woods! OR look for a used LW set up, they're out there but they go quick!

I'll second the LW Alpha and LW Sticks. This will be my first year using them, but I can already tell it will be one of the easiest setups ever just from practicing with them.

just my .02 but I would ditch the hang on and sticks and go with a summit climber for portability and comfort for about the same price also alot easier to carry

If you want to save money on the stand part of the equation there are definitely some more affordable ones out there.

This one is solid with a big platform, it is heavy about 20 lbs but with some light sticks you are still under 30-32 lbs. I bought some treestand backpack style straps that make it much easier to tote. I'm 250# and like I said the stand is sturdy and the seat is large enough far decent comfort. $35.97, you can't beat that with a bat.

This one is a little more comfortable but around 25 lbs. But for $53, another great deal.

I was looking at this stand on their site before you posted this. Why is this stand so cheap at Rogers, any idea?? Is it an older model??

Loggy's stands are on clearance at a lot of places so you can get a good deal on them.

If you're on a budget, Dubbya's suggestion is the way to go. You're not sacrificing much of anything and you'll get a set up you can use for years to come.

I highly recommend Big Game stand and sticks. You can get The Boss stand and sticks for less than $200 and won't be disappointed.

I have been using LW sticks & the loggy predator stand that dubya posted for several years now. I like it for a compltely versitile attack.

I also just ordered a pair of the Loggy Predator Pro stands, and will hang one this weekend for the first time.

After a bunch of research, this does look like it's about the best deal going, if you look you can find them on clearance for about $80. If I hadn't bought this stand, I'd likely look at the Muddy stands just because of the price difference between then and Lone Wolf.

Only problem is that when you find "the tree" the chances of it being climbable are marginal in most locations. If I can help it, I'd like to never sacrifice my ideal location for a climbable tree.

With the adjustability of the Loggy and Muddy stands, there aren't many trees in which you can't hang a stand.

I have two of the Loggy Pro Series stand and two sets of Lone Wolf sticks, light weight and easy to use without needing a straight tree for a climber.
