Advice and opinions on arrow size..

    Here's my set-up:
    Bow- Fred Bear Element
    d/w- 65 lbs
    d/l- 26.5"
    sight- Cobra boomslang 4 pin
    rest- whisker biscuit
    Tips- Muzzy mx-3
    My ?? is what my arrow length should be? and what weight? and should i use aluminum or carbon? I will only be hunting whitetails with it.. Any advice you guys have will be appreciated...

    I have never had any problems if I just simply followed the arrow manufacturers chart and used a good rest. Especially if it gives a few spine options and I pick the one in the middle.

    I'll throw the numbers on OnTarget2 in the morning and give you some specifics, but I think you could get away with either a .400 or .500 spine, but the .500 may require a 75gr tip at about 26" to spine right, a .400 may need a 125gr tip at 27" or so to spine right, either would be pretty close I think though, but I'd have to plug the numbers in to give a definitive answer. You CERTAINLY wouldn't need anything stiffer than a .400 though.
