With Nugent's fine for baiting I got to thinking that recently I have noticed on many hunting shows the use of Acorn rage, C'mere Deer, Buck Juice etc...
My question is ... Do you think this is big advantage for hunters in states where this is legal or is it just another tatic to use?
I hunt in Iowa and I have had alot of success it seems by just keeping it simple. I scout to find bucks to focus on in my areas , during pre-rut I do use rattling, grunts, bleats etc... But the past 4 years I have shot my buck between Nov9th-Nov12th during the rut. I just stay on stand all day and it seems to work good.
Just wondering with so many of those products now if you guys have noticed seeing more deer and have had better luck?
I'm sure i will never use it (unless i go to a state that it's legal) but was just curious.

I remember one show where Hank Parker and his son went to Kansas with a pickup load of c'mere deer. It took them 20 something days to kill a good buck. I don't think the pick up load of c'mere deer did it's thing.

I live in nc and part time va in nc its legal but in va its legal up to a certain day and then you have to make sure its all gone or your hind end will go to jail. i really dont think its an advantage to the point as to where the deer have no choice as to come to it. i put it in a feeding area which they frequent when there is no deer caine so if they come to it they come to it if they dont they dont. imo its another tool like scent bombs, calling, rattling, decoys, i use that tool in n.c. where its legal and i use it in va until the cutoff point.alot of folks dont agree w/ it yet they exploit the same weakness by hunting a corn field or a water source. the deer has a choice to ignore or to feed on the bait, or come to the call or water or to ease into see whats up w/ that decoy. to come by work that scrape or rub. to see where that doe in heat smell is coming from. so no i dont think it gives you any more advantage if you dont know what you are doing some damn powder out a jug aint going to help you!!!!

Some of the C'mere deer is not actual food source so some states that don't allow baiting will alow the C'mere deer liquid.

I don't use any of the products mentioned above. But if it works for you and is legal than go for it.

I too just try to keep it simple. I hunt mostly state land here in IL. I just try to hunt smart, hunt hard, and make my shots count.

There is very little you can truely control. I believe in being in the stand early, taking a shower and keeping your scent to a minimum, proper stand placement, minimizing noise and movement, giving attention to the wind and other weather conditions, effective shot placement and execution, and proper post shot tracking (give the animal time and never give up!).
