Just saw that he said playing in the NFL is like "modern day slavery".....really? If slavery is making 10 million a year for playing a game...sign me up.
In the interview, conducted moments after the NFL Players Association decertified last Friday and posted Tuesday, Peterson called the NFL’s arrangement with his players "modern-day slavery" and a "rip-off." He added that players "are getting robbed" and all but provided a caricature of a modern-day athlete with no touch on reality.
I'd like to be the first one to offer him safe passage on the modern-day underground railroad to little place called ..................reality.
I knew i hated the Vikings for a reason... Isnt his dad in Jail? Doesnt he understand how lucky he is to be blessed with ability?
He was fine until Brett was his teammate. The stress of wondering what Brett would do, drove him nuts.
If he doesn't like it.....I know what he can do...... with all the other union players......quit and find someplace else to play......if they'll put up with his *****in and complaining !!! what an idiot !
My wife and I have made some good decisions in our lives and worked very hard...........the financial rewards of that have been great. The sniping from strangers, friends and even family at times has not been so great. Everyone has an axe to grind against people that make more then they do..........I don't understand this mindset of class warfare in a society as free as ours to be as great or as lazy as you want to be..........the ones who choose to just cruise through life always look at those who chose to work hard to do more as "lucky" to be where they are and always exude a certain level of disdain for these people and in fact cheer when they see them knocked down a peg. It's so much easier to drag someone down to your level then it is to build yourself up to theirs. It's a horrible attitude that permeates our society. How many times have you guys heard other people griping about someone who worked at Chevy or Ford (back in the day) because he made too much for doing too little? (Translation.........he makes more then me and it's not "fair", I wish I had his job) My wife and I have the same problems in our careers as everyone else who *****es about their job 24/7 but when we bring something up it's always "Whatever man, if I made what you did I would never complain" BS!! Right is right and wrong is wrong.............someone being mistreated should not be excused simply because of how much money they make. Adrian Peterson's comments should not be dismissed because he makes millions of dollars...........they should be dismissed because he is an idiot and they are fundamentally flawed on almost every level.
Atlas, sorry but when a guy signs a contract and willingly agrees to do a job for a certain amount of money, then complains that it is "modern day slavery"....that is ridiculous. The amount of money he makes isn't what its about, but it is icing on the cake. Petersons contract stands to give him over $20 per MINUTE for the entire year. It's pretty sad when he is complainong while his fans, the same ones who help pay his salary, are happy to be making $20 an hour whole working.
Agreed.............he is a moron that has no clue what the hell he is talking about. Sure seems like the money he makes matters a LOT to you.
Atlas, It's like someone *****ing they can't shoot a 200 Inch buck because all they have Is 190 Inchers running around. Who the hell Is going to feel sorry for the hunter? I'm embarrassed to be a Viking fan from his comments.
I didn't get that analogy..........he's talking about being taken advantage of, mistreated, abused etc.......not that his life sucks compared to avg Joe. I believe you are correct that he and many of these other morons expect people to feel sorry for them. You should be..........with the Favre fiasco, Moss, and now All Day displaying his moronic sense of reality times could be better to be a Viking fan.
