Carson Palmer...very well could end up deserving both the MVP and this one if Cam and Tom slow down or hit some bumps.

I would have no problem with AP winning comeback player of the year (bias Vikings fan).

He didn't play for the entire season, and is now back dominating at 30 years old.

I was PISSED to see the Packers let him on the field for Favre's number retiring last week. I nearly threw something at the TV....

I don't follow players, I follow the team. All I care about any player I don't know personally is that if they are on my team they play well for the team when on the field. Chumura was personally a dirtbag, Guion is today. I can't control who is on the team, If I was asked I would say no I don't want them representing my team. But I don't have that power. So all I can do is cheer for my team.

I wouldn't give the award to any player who only had to overcome their own stupidity or actions.

I think Eric Berry deserves some attention for comeback player of the year. He's back to playing arguably the best in his career after beating lymphoma in less than a year. On top of that, he's just a great role model and good person.

If you make the decision based purely on ability and performance AP deserves it in my opinion

Pretty much where my logic lies... Simply performance based.

The definition of comeback player of the year... AP might not fit so much:

"The National Football League Comeback Player of the Year Award refers to a number of awards that are given to an NFL player who has shown perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance."

That is precisely why I feel Palmer deserves it, he overcame an injury and is performing at a MVP type level. Shoot Eric Berry I'd choose over AP given performance too.

He may be a very physically talented football player but I wouldn't want him living in my neighborhood.
Not my idea of a role model for a human being.

I dont hate the guy. He made a mistake and paid for it. However, the comeback player of the year award should not go to him.

HE DIDN'T PLAY FOR A YEAR BECAUSE HE IS A POS. I can let a lot of things slide but for a grown many to do that to a child is unacceptable. For those that say well I got whipped and I turned out fine, would it be fine to didlle with a child because it happened to you when you were young?

Peterson absolutely should not even be eligible for that award. I agree with Palmer or Berry getting it.

The NFL won't want to award it to AP simply because of the pr nightmare it would create. They draw enough negative attention toward themselves as it is.
