I am currently using Roxio video wave to edit my hunting videos. I'm looking to take my editing to the next level but not break the bank. I'm looking into adobe premiere. Does anybody have it? And how hard is it to learn how to use?

I use that to edit my film, it's pretty nice but all I need is a cutting tool and to import audio and adjust audio levels. It works great but is have a hard time paying the money for it since I use so little of it

I have it and really like it. It helps a bit if you have Adobe background (which is why I have it in the first place). It's an amazing tool and well worth the price for me, since like I said I use other adobe products.

As far as it's capability goes, I believe Deadpool was edited using Premiere.

For a cheaper route, you can alway start with elements and then upgrade to Pro if you like what you see.

I run the Creative Cloud version. It's pretty pricey and is way more than I need. It's not easy to learn, but there are literally thousands and thousands of how to videos online that you can use to work your way through it.

I also use the creative cloud version. Started using it a few months ago with no idea what I was doing but like Skywalker said you can find thousands of helpful videos to get you through it!

CC user here. When you get down to it, it is a basic editor that has a ton of powerful tools if you know how to dig them out. As for basic editing it is pretty straight forward.

I'm a CC user as well. I've been using Adobe products for about 12 years now.

Premiere is great, and like DEC said, it's a basic editor with tons of advanced features. That means you can learn the basics relatively quickly, but you can grow with it as your needs/skill set improves.

To put it another way. I'm using it with my 9th grade students in a rotation class where they're only with me for nine weeks. In that time, they are importing, cutting, ripple trimming, creating titles and transitions, and adding music.

It doesn't have to be hard :)

Subscription only now though, so you're looking at $49.99/month for the suite or $19.99/month for the single app unless you're a student/educator.

I bought the last version of PP before they went to the cloud. It came in CS6 Production Premium along with a bunch of other programs. Although it was pricey I would rather take a one-time hit rather then have a monthly bill. I can do without the updates, for now anyway. By the way I love it!
