    Hello everyone,

My name is Jimmy and I am from Maui, Hawaii. I am new to archery and just purchased my first bow. I chose the PSE Vision. I am reading through the instructions and it doesn't say how many turns on the adjustment equals how many pounds of draw weight. Does anyone know or know where I can find that out? I am being very cautious as I am just learning. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone that is into archery (yet) and we don't have a cabelas or anything like that here on the island. I just want to make sure I am being safe with this thing. A video I watched warned to pay attention to how far you loosen the bolt because it could be dangerous. Right now, the bow is set for 70 pounds. I want to take it down to 55.

Anyone have any tips for me? By the way, I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section. Thank you all for any help you may be able to offer!!!

    Jimmy

It should tell you how many turns you can do, not sure how many pounds each turn is but don't exceed that. Turn it down as much as you want under the set limit till it's comfortable.

Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it! I'll make sure both limbs are turned down equally until I am comfortable.

What is the bow poundage set at? If the minimum is 50 and you bought the bow at 50 pounds set up you can't go any lower, contact pse for help if you need it so things do not get messed up, would hate to see that happen

It says it has an adjustable draw weight between 12-70lbs. Since my last post, I adjusted it down 1 full turn. I don't have a scale yet so I am not sure the exact pounds but it's better than it was! I just adjusted down a quarter turn at a time till it felt lighter.

Oh, and to answer your question, the documentation says that it is set at 70lbs out of the box.

If it can go all the way to twelve pounds I would just find the sweet spot. A half turn the pull back. But congrats. I am actually visiting your beautiful island as we speak. Good luck on getting started it is a lot of fun.
