I'm starting to be more conscientious about my FOC and arrow weight, as of recently. From what I've gathered (maybe it's a lot more obvious to others) if you add weight to the rear of the arrow there is little affect on flight. For instance, if I switch from a 5 grain nock to a 20 grain lighted nock there's no noticible change in flight. However, if I changed the tip from 100 grain to 125 grain, I get a very noticible change. Is there a difference in flight based on the location of the weight change?

I'm not 100% sure but the fletching might have something to do with it. Some of the other guys could tell you but I'm not really sure.

Adding weight to the rear stiffens dynamic spine, adding weight to the front weakens dynamic spine. Dynamic spine is how the arrow flexes when leaving the bow. Weaker leads to more oscillation and erratic flight.
