I just saw a video on the adder small game head and it looked pretty good. Essentially it is a sharp 25 grain collar that sits behind your points. In the video it looks like it works well, what do you think ? Video: http://www.bowhunting.com/videos/bowhunting-product-reviews/the-adder-small-game-head_2350
I made tips like that once out of a steel fender washer. They didn't fly as well as other small game heads but they hit like a ton of bricks and barely cost anything. I could see those parts getting bent up on that though if you send one into a rock after passing thru/missing a critter
I wonder it those are new, a "re-issue" or if they've just been around a long time? I used and add-on exactly like that back in the 1980s. Worked very well on small game, and they did hold up well. Bill
These have been around for awhile. I have a few of them that just sit in my archery box. I know some guys like to put them behind their fixed blade broadheads for when turkey hunting. Their theory is that it will stop the arrow in the turkey instead of completely passing through. Hence preventing the bird from flying away on them. I have no experience with them though. Honestly dont even remember why I bought them like 5-10 yrs ago.
