Wouldn't try it just stick with scent killer and finger crossing.

You know how many times I've been busted when I know for a fact that the deer couldn't see me but winded me & spooked anyway?

I wish I could hang a t shirt near a hunting area to see if the deer would become used to it. But I really wish I had enough land(or any land) to see if my scent in the area all year round changed deer patterns.

The bump feeder has been out for a year. Adding hair to the feeder wouldn't hurt anything or anybody. I have those deer patterned and think it would be extremely interesting to see how they react to this. Would they completely leave? How long would it take them to start using the feeder again? Would they get used to my scent and use the feeder the same evening that I refilled it or wait a day before my scent died down? I'm always trying to learn as much as I can about the things that interest me. Sorry I'm not one of those people that just takes everyone's word on everything. I've been fairly successful in life by not always accepting things "because that's just how it works" you show me some links to actual studies I would hush right up.

You came to the site, joined, and asked for advice: So quite crying! Here is the problem with your "experiment". if you're so curious to see the results, try them in an experimental setting,
1.put two deer feeders in the same location ie: within 30 yards instead of two totally different properties like you plan on
    2. put hair on 1 if you so insist at 1 feeder location
    3. put a camera on both
    4. record results

University of Cornell students did something similar to this as a research project, they not only used hair, human urine, and soap as well... guess what happened..... the deer didn't like the soap but got within 3 feet of it... they didn't like the hair, but got within 3 feet of it(eventually the hair lost it smell and degraded), and didn't care about urine(urine doesn't hold human scent as you would think, so go whizzing away if you need to!)
University of Depauw students tried a similar experiment, and found results similar but not exact..... Those deer actually did not respond to human smell stimulus, and kept with their daily routines.....

Its kind of hard to be an innovator when we as humans have been doing this for years... thousands if not millions of years......
    Good luck though....

I never explained exactly what I would be doing. You just assumed. I was actually going to set something up close to how you mentioned and record my findings for anyone else interested via YouTube . You're 100% right about me coming to this site to ask for others opinions and learn from them. With that said I also signed up because most post I read had other hunters helping each other out, not being a rude ****s. Instead of trolling my post you could have sent me a link to those studies you're talking about. I've heard people mention the studies but have never really found one that was publish. A study with video would be even better. Other members and myself are interested, if your not, shut up and find something else to "cry" about.

I don't think it's assuming when you actually posted your plans......
Actually you can go back and quote yourself..... "Well I have 2 different properties I can hunt. I went ahead and set up a regular auto feeder at the one with big bucks. Going to try the hair on the other property that mainly has does in a bump feeder. Will let y'all know how it goes."

Google is a good start for the studies.....If you can navigate Bowhunting.com you can navigate google

If you're going to experiment and want results, try using the "scientific method"

Not trying to be rude, but realistic! Constructive criticism

Instead of just saying this has to be a joke, people give you advice, in the advice section, and you're getting all whiney about it saying that you have got along just fine without using other people's advice, and the that's just how it is answer....

That's me giving a general statement of what I was going to do. Not my detailed plans. I'm not doing this to try and find a 100% sure way to fool deer. Maybe just get a very very slight advantage. Like wearing sent lock clothing or using a cover spray. There's no doubt deer get use to things "urbanized". See no reason why this shouldn't be explored more. I did search for these experiments and found 0 video results. The only thing I found in reading was experiments on captive deer or experiments to keep deer away from gardens. Im highly educated, fully understand the scientific method, and think its absurd that people don't think this will work if given enough time. I saw a deer eating out if my parents trash the other day, they Live in the burbs and I'm sure there was more than human hair in there.

Good luck with that. I'd just hang your laundry on the feeder with your regular detergents. Or just spray down with tinks btech and wear scentblocker and eliminate all your scent. Thats what works for me

in all seriousness i think the corn scent will over power the scent of the hair and the deer won't even take any notice to the hair, they will still bust you if you don't shower, spray down and play the wind
