Was wondering which one is better. I would appreciate if you guys tell me some past experiences thanks.
Tried Buck Jam in the past and it worked pretty good for a while but fades out pretty quick. I gotta admit it doesn't taste too bad though . I make my own mineral sites and I got one right now that's going on 6 months without being refreshed and deer are still hitting it hard.
Nice, well we hunt 2 hours awaay from our house so we go down there 1 time a month but i wanted some stuff to last that month. I saw on Gander Mountian ( Evolved Habitats Molasses) I know deer love molasses will that last for a while and is that pure molasses?
Hmmm never tried that before. I do recommend what I do though. It's way cheaper in the long run then buying a jug of stuff each month to refresh your site. I got this off another hunting forum and love it. (so do the deer) WHITETAIL DEER HOMEMADE MINERAL MIX RECIPE Ingredients: Makes 200 lbs. 1 part Di-calcium phosphate, this is a dairy feed additive bought at feed stores. One bag. 2 parts Trace mineral salt, the red and loose kind without the medications. Two bags. 1 part Stock salt, ice cream salt. One bag. Directions: -Use a 3 pound or similar size coffee can to use as your measure for each part of the mix. -Mix all together well but not until you're ready to use it. -Dig or tear up a circle in the soil about 36 inches wide and a few inches into the ground. -Mix your mineral mixture with the soil. Maintenance: -Replenish in 6 months with fresh supply of mineral, and then each year there after.
Sorry mom . It was something I copied and pasted off another forum so maybe you should talk to him lol
