I'm not a real religious guy but this ACLU statement is pretty telling of their stance on religious freedom. Sounds like they are a leftist sounding board instead of a neutral, liberty based group. This is a big issue in my opinion.

Yes I just took a screen shot of the quote. I'll try to find the full article.

It doesn't hurt LGBT groups but helps faith based adoption and foster care. The law allows Christian groups who serve as adoption/foster agency and who view marriage as between a man and woman to not be forced to place a child in an LGBT home, which would be against their Biblical beliefs.

There are still other agencies to adopt from, and the law does not stop LGBT's from adoption.

This isn't even a freedom of speech issue. The ACLU seem to have no business on the scene.

Um, I guess you have not been paying attention to things for the last 10 or so years.

You want to kill something? Tie it to freedom of speech. Flag desecration, term limits...the list goes on.

perhaps they should figure out how to keep their schools open 5 days a week, but hey I do not live there, so pass any laws you want.

It's a shame they've gone partisan. I'm old enough to remember when the ACLU really did protect freedom of expression, even that of neo-nazis in Skokie, Illinois, in the late 70's. There was a time when they had a noble purpose to protect all free speech, even "the thought we hate."
