Hello from southern 'Bama. I'm a total archery newb and need all the help I can get, lol. I just ordered my first bow, a PSE Surge through my company safety bonus program. Small problem; it just arrived at my house but I'm 6,000mi away at work. All I can do right now is day dream about it, haha. Anyone familiar with this bow? Any suggestions for a green archer and where to start? It is supposed to be a ready to shoot bow but I'm sure there are other accessories that I'll need? A forearm guard, a release? Any help offered is greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the addiction from another L.A. resident!!!! I would suggest before buying a new release, go by a archery shop when you get home and pick a few up. You can spend money on something your not comfortable with if you mail order your first one. Arm gaurd, only if you start with bad shooting form,...but get you a target and some arrows and get at it,....
