    Heres how last night went:

Ended up getting 6 Gold tip XT Hunters 7595/340 w/ 3 or 4in vanes and a new set of slick tricks. They are bigger arrows than i am used to... I was set on getting the maxima reds with smaller vanes but the expert told me otherwise... Tells me he's not just in it for the money and really wants to help new archers.

I wanted the blazer vanes but he advised against it... Haven't used bigger vanes in quite some time.

He raised the poundage of my bow - Don't have a problem with the higher weight.

    Adjusted my rest.

Sighted in my field points and then sighted in my broadheads.

He spent a good 30 minutes with me working on my form and how I should handle certain situations.

    Practice practice practice.
Imagine your target is a live deer every time.
If you are practicing enough, you should be on auto pilot from the moment you draw till you hear the deer go down.
I'm actually a little surprised just how quickly I anchor and settle the pins from the stand when a deer gets in range -
totally due to lots of practice this summer.

If you're getting big bucks in range you must be doing everything else right!
Don't get down on yourself, you can definitely overcome a little target panic.

Practice at elevation, bend at the waist, breathe.

Breath in while drawing and then relax. Don't move your pin to the target zone and then release right away. Let your pin hover over the target for a second or two and take another breathe or two if needed. When you are ready to shoot, start exhaling out of your nose calmly and at about 3/4 to 2/3 full lung, slowly release and follow through.

    Just my $.02

    NEVER NEVER NEVER give up.

That was a great video and it's floating around here somewhere.....

To the OP, good luck in getting the "kinks" worked out. I can't offer any advice that hasn't already been given.
