Not sure if anyone cares but I am about to be 29 with a 6 yr old daughter, 8 yr old son and an amazing wife which we just celebrated our 10 yrs of marriage. I work for a Special Education coop and my title is Behavior Specialist or as my wife would say, simply "BS". I deal with 6th through 12th grade students who are Emotionally Disturbed. I also drive a special ed bus with students as young as 4 and up to 17. My spelling is awful so I hope there are no spelling police here! I am an Ordained Youth minister and associate pastor. THat's pretty much my life. My kids love to shoot guns and they are very good shots for their ages. I just put my son in a 4H program for the shooting events. My daughter has been driving me crazy wanting me to take her rabbit/ squirrel hunting with her pink .22 and my wife would like a custom built 10/22 with a dark purple haze wood stock, purple bull barrel, and a purple Leupold scope that's gonna run me close to $1000 to build. My wife does not mind camping but will not sleep on the ground and has to have something to use the bathroom on so I got her a very tall air matress and a toilet seat for a 5 gallon bucket.:d If anyone else would like to know something, I will entertain 5 questions Not too bashful so ask what you want.
First off, welcome aboard! Its good to have another Nitron shooter on the board. Someone who realizes the importance of a good broadhead. :D If you don't mind me asking - how did you find our little corner of the Internet?
I started with Thunderheads on Super SLam Select arrows and was very happy. But when I went with the axis, they planed to much. NItrons have worked wonderfully for myself. Took 2 nice size pigs last winter, one went 10 yds, other about 30. I found the site when I was surfing for videos of hunting. Very few sites actually have free online vids that do not take 3 days to download. Once on the site I dipped into the forums and I like to online chat with others who enjoy the same stuff in life. I have been a member of a 4x4 club forum for a couple of years but not a hole lot of hunting talk over there.
welcome! I turkey hunt in Gainsville. St Joe really. Your job will come in handy dealing with some of us emotionally disturbed folks!
Turkey hunting huh, I have only tried once or twice. Never really got into it. I had a guy that lived in Nocona and his kids went to St Jo that use to shoot a bow. I don't think he ever went hunting with it though, just target shooting. What part of East Texas you from? As far as bucket duty, I was smart and just cut the bottom off. Pop a squat and carry the bucket back out of the woods!
