I agree, but who am I to tell someone else what to do? Its ironic how conservatives get their panties in a bunch and cry for less government, yet making a law to ban abortion just contradicts their views on not being told what they can do, and liberals have bleeding hearts for the defenseless, but are ok with killing a defenseless baby because you can't tell people what they can and can't do. I am strongly against government subsidized abortion, but if someone wants to go to their doctor and pay for one out of their own pocket then go for it, they're gonna have to sleep with themselves at night.
I think it should neither be outlawed nor fully condoned. (Kind of like it is). There are cases where I believe an abortion may be called for. I think culture should push towards the mother having the baby. I try not to deal in absolutes, especially when it's a life or death matter....
There are laws against murder for a reason. More or less government isn't even in the discussion as far as I'm concerned.
Since abortion has directly effected both me and my wife I will fill you in on why its an issue when I get a moment.
I have to say this. I do think abortion is better than some cultures that give birth to the baby them just abandon it in the first to die. Look it up it turned my stomach Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
I believe there is a time and a place for abortion, i.e. Rape, etc... Other than that my thoughts are as follows. Sex is a responsibility we all make the choice to partake in. Pregnancy is a consequence of said activity. If you feel your are mature enough for sexual activity then you should be mature enough to own up to the fact of possibly conceiving a child. If you can't handle that, don't do it. Simple. No life should be lost at the naivety and inconsideration of any persons
i look at this way it is not up to me to tell anyone what to do with thier body it is thier choice they have to live with it i never had to make that choice me and my wife have 2 sons and verry happy but if i had to make that decision i would want it between me and my wife no one else just the way i feel
It's funny to have guys debating this but imagine your wife having a child and by law if you didn't want it you could give it to a nurse to go euthanize your child. Now if you are able to live with yourself you get to go through the rest of your life thinking about that child and how old they would have been or what they would looked like etc etc. Point being this is something that's REALLY hard on women to live with and they usually do it for the father or the fact that the guy that knocked them up will not step up and be father but THEY have to live with killing their unborn child. Not cool.
There is absolutely ZERO contradictions here as we that are against abortion believe it to be the murder of a defenseless life ... just like if i would go up to a sleeping baby in a crib and cut it's throat... The logic here evades me .... and this doosy ... I am just saying ... I don't get where you are coming from on THIS topic ....
When my now wife got pregnant with our oldest daughter, I actually considered it. Not so far as investigating prices or anything, but I pondered it. We were young. I wasn't particularly interested in staying with her then. So I thought about it. Speaking now. My now 15 year old daughter brings me more joy, more smiles, more gut churning love than absolutely anything else on this planet. Plainly. I cannot imagine my life without her. Typing this actually tears me up. I can't speak for everyone. I don't know how anyone feels. Rape victims who get pregnant. I have NO idea what that would be like. But what I do know is while not the mom's fault, it clearly isn't the baby's fault either and deserves a chance to live in this world our Lord created. Even if it's with another family.
