I'm going to purchase an AAE limb driven rest I can cover any of them so money is not a problem. Does anyone use them? Any preferences?
I've used pretty much every limb driven rest on the market now days...the AAE ProDrop is a really nice rest but it has 2 issues that I've seen... 1= the Launcher blade is spring steel and they will break, seen it happen more than once 2= there is no down stop on the rest, so when the rest drops away there's no post or anything internal that stops the downward travel of the rest so the launcher blade slams into the riser "hence the reason so many of them break the launcher blade" Like I said, I've been shooting limb driven rests for years and they are all I'll use these days on my bows, if you want the absolute best and don't mind paying for it you won't find one better than the Hamskea Versa Rest...it's not as well known as some of the other brands but it is the best rest on the market IMHO...You can set it up limb driven from the top or bottom limb, you can set it up like a normal fall away attached to the down cable, or you can lock it in the upright position and shoot it as a blade style target rest....it was designed by Pro Shooters "Tim Gillingham was one of the lead designers" and there are a bunch of Pro's shooting that rest now. I've been shooting it for 2 seasons now for 3-D and hunting and love them but they ain't cheap.
