Glad you guys enjoyed the read/photos. I've heard cancer described many times as "unfair". It is a fitting word. There is a little more background to the first photo. Jake, his father, and brother, leased some land in northern Nebraska for a hunt (his father also drew the Colorado public land tag). When hunting season arrived, Jake considered heading to Pennsylvania for a steelheading trip. We talked about it for a while, and decided to go on the hunt with his family. They all had such a good time that they decided they would make it a tradition. First week in November, northern Nebraska, every year. Then the following week, their father was diagnosed. They still plan to keep that tradition, and I have been invited to go next year. I'll do my best to make that happen.
Sorry crick, my 80s style coke stache is already history. My daughter 86'ed that the second I got home. It was fun while it lasted.

Really neat story and great pics. When my Dad was alive, he used to go to the White River and trout fish every year. He and a couple of buddies went. I never made the trip and wish now that I had taken the time. Your story brings back a lot of memories of his stories and photos from there. Thanks.
