Yes that's right.... it's here again. The Masters starts tommorow. Everyone here try to contain your excitement. I know it's probably difficult for you. I'm sure you're anticipation level is at it's boiling over point. It will be here soon enough though. The single greatest sporting event there is. IMO of course :tu:. Should be a good one this year. I feel a crazy back nine on Sunday. It's going to be a couple young guns in contention and probably an "old timer" or two (not Tiger). Should be interesting.

One of the perks of hangin' my own shield.......

I'm gonna "try" to be sitting in a sports bar for lunch, tomorrow.....drinking a beer and watching the Masters.

    I'm gonna try, anyways.

It's the greatest golf tournament in the world (IMO). If you've ever been there.....it's an extremely special place just to walk (even if one wasn't a golf fan).

    Bobby Jones got it right.

Very true. Words can't even describe the experience of just being there. It really is "unlike any other".

Who do you like to contend Jeff? You think a Dustin Johnson or Bubba Watson are ready to wear the jacket? I always lean towards someone with length. I think DJ will be there. Not sure if he's too mentally scarred from the Open to close the deal though. My dark horse is Gary Woodland. That dude is stupid long and playing some really good golf. But somehow it seems like an old vet always rises to the occasion. Phil is on cloud 9 right now with the length and short game. Tough call.

I hope Tiger wins, just because it would piss people off snoody golf fans. Hey, I have to find some reason to be interested in "a tradition unlike any other".

Augusta has always favored lefties who can work a fade so the smart money would be on Phil or Bubba. I think Tiger will contend (top 5) and it would be nice to see him make a run but I really think he has lost his swing for good, plus this coarse is not the place to go into with little to no confidence in your putter.

Keep your eye on my boy Stricker.

By far my favorite weekend to watch TV, starts today with the Par 3 streaming on ESPN 3 if you can get it.

I love th Masters. It is the celebration of spring and golf. Some courses around here just opened here for walkers only. I'm looking forward to playing again once it warms up a bit.

I can't imagine being there as it is so beautiful on TV. Thank god for HD!

I don't know who but I have a feeling an unexpected and young guy is going to win this tournament.

I agree 100 percent. Greatest thing going. A tradition like no other. Besides that, it's Heaven on earth to look at. I made it to the Masters one time back in the 70s. Back then the crowds didn't seem as big. You could walk from hole to hole in places, get a good view and watch several groups play a hole... and then move on. It was fantastic. I remember those holes like it was yesterday.....but it was almost 45 years ago.
I block out the dates and hunker down for some good stuff. Par 3 contest is on at 3 today. That's always worth a couple roars and luaghs.

NY....I don't keep up with golf enough to know who's hot at any given time. I only heard Phil won, on the radio.

I'm a Phil fan, though (along with many others). Wouldn't bother me if he won it, again.

If the course favors a lefty who can fade it.....it stands to reason it favors a righty who can work a draw. Plenty more of the latter than there is the former.

Oh...and I don't get to watch the tournament, tomorrow. Great.

Just watched the "Yes Sir" Jack Nicklaus special I DVR'd on ESPN today, about his '86 win - narrated by his son Jack...what a fantastic hour of TV!
...I have watched and read so many versions of that '86 Masters win at age 46...I love hearing it everytime!

lol ... that's what I was thinking. Makes sense to me anyway. And I dont' think the course favors anything. You need everything in your bag and brain to come out on top at Agusta.

Is the first two rounds being played on any tv stations or would I have to stream it on my computer?

Pretty sure ESPN has coverage right now. If not, later today for sure.

It's ESPN for the first two rounds, then CBS for Sat/Sun.

The streaming on-line is pretty darn good though for the Masters.

Well Day One goes to the international players. They're kicking butt and posting low scores. Only American in the top group is Kucher being 3rd at 4 under....3 behind.

I'd rather see the leader board the way it is today rather than sunday. Just the begining of the story. That leaderboard will be rearranged several times by the time its all said and done.
