Well guys it's getting closer and closer to the Rut with each passing day the bucks are starting to come out of there beds and lay the ground work for the mating season. I personally have had great success with using my grunt calls doe bleat etc but the biggest factor for me has been my rattling antlers. I would like to hear any thoughts on the subject and when you all will start up. I probably will start banging my antlers together around Oct 28 I am I'm just gonna go out on a limb an say that we are in for an early Rut. Any thoughts Guys!!!

I'm not sure about an early rut around my area. I haven't seen a single rub, and only the beginning of a single scrape. Normally I would have seen at least a little bit of rubs in my woods by now.

I've saw rubs already not a bunch but a few and the bucks came out of velvet this year around early to mid September as for the small properties I hunt last year my big bucks didn't show up until late October into November and stuck around til late season

Found scrapes and rubs this weekend. But they were all field edge scrapes. Rubs were on trails leading to food.

I had a does come to a fawn bleat Sat. morning.

I normally start calling the last week of Oct every year... Seems to work for me.
