Joe, so sorry to hear that everything kept coming down since the last time we talked. I noticed you weren't around much - just figured you were busy. Take care of yourself and continue to push on. This is just another block - but you guys will get over it! You and your wife will be in my thoughts.

That positive attitude and faith will definitely be rewarded sooner than later. Best of luck with your recovery.

Glad to hear you made it through the stroke. About your house. This should be a last resort but If you or your wife have a 401(k) you can take what is called a Hardship Withdrawal from your 401(K) to prevent foreclosure. You will have to provide documentation of the upcoming foreclosure but it may help you save your home. It will give you time to either land back on your feet or give you the opportunity to sell the home yourself.

You will have to weigh this option very carefully. By taking that withdraw you will be taxed heavily on that money at the end of the year. If you end up foreclosing on the home later anyway you just flushed away some of your retirement income. 401k's are a protected asset so nobody can go after your 401k for debt collection.

Good luck to and your family.

Isn't this type situation what bankruptcy is for? Did you consider that, at least I think it will save a house and vehicles. Not a great option, ruins credit but that's usually gone anyway in foreclosure. I'd do whatever I needed to to save the house and if people look down on that I say who gives a crap.

That is a whole lotta bad luck my man. I know you must have your moments but you have a great attitude. I know the loss of your material possessions is tough but you are alive with all your faculties and you have a great attitude. You WILL overcome this and come out stronger on the other side. I will be praying for you.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

Im sorry to hear about your luck over the past few months
But, but take it from someone who's had there fair share of s**t thrown their way. God never closes a door without opening a window. Things will work out.

You've got the right attitude. I'll send one up for you.

Darn Joe, that is rough, really rough. I wish you and your wife the best. I also hope your balance returns and you can back to work. Why can't you get some money from the government? A hard working man like you can't get money but other people who havent dont squat can collect monthly paychecks?

I will tell you this, I have a good amount of older hunting gear. It ain't perfect, but it will help you kill a deer or two. I will send you what I have....arrows, release, clothes, broadheads, boots.....just let me know and I will do it now or nearer to the season. I am sure all of us together can get you re-outfitted for the upcoming hunting season so that your mind and body can heal up properly.

Yes we are actually filing a bankruptcy within the next two weeks. However with me not being able to drive anymore (and not having any other job skill ) and my wife only making a third of what she used to make, it would be almost impossible for us to maintain the mortgage payment moving forward, and still have money for a living costs. Ever since moving in this house four years ago we've been chasing the dollar like crazy to maintain living here. It's made us lose sight of the bigger picture, and what is truly important in life. We do believe everything happens for a reason, and this is the sign of all signs to tell us Enough is enough, it's just a house it's just land it's all materialistic it truly does not matter in the end.

To say I am completely blown away by everybody's kindness and generosity would be an understatement!! I truly appreciate the offers, and it warms my heart, that my fellow hunting brothers are here to help. I think as of right now I should be ok if I can make it in he woods this fall. I still have some old school camo, and my bear "black bear" that I still shoot every now and then. It should be enough to get the job done. :tu:!!
Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart!!

If you change your mind and figure out some stuff you need come back on here and let us know.
I don't have a lot of money but the Lord has blessed me with more than I deserve in this life.
I'd be more than happy to pitch in with these other guys to help with what you need.
