Wow, just wow! Great buck first of all, but the artistry on that skull is definitely one of the coolest and most unique things I've ever seen done to a skull mount. You are very talented, and as others have said, I think you've found your niche. I have no doubt that could turn into a profitable hobby. Nice work!

Amazing. I've showed 4 different hunters your pics today.

    I do have a question....

Are you interested in taking on any work?

    Seriously...

Ya know I am very flattered by all the compliments,Thankyou all so much BUT until I have perfected the staining or coloring of the bone process I wouldnt feel comfortable working on someone else's trophy at this time. But Im very flattered you asked.
This being my first took alot of time, mostly because I didnt know what I was doing, and I was learning as I went along SLOWLY. Ya have to get a feel for how deep you can carve into the bone and in some places its pretty thin, and learning what dremel bits work best.
I had the pleasure this last year to meet a young man here in Illinois at a KNAP IN ( A Gathering of Flintknappers )(( where we showcase our work and sell or works and goods and demonstrate or skills)) He is a fellow bowhunter whom is in the begining of his carrer into doing antler carving, and he is now doing antler carved handles for Flintknapped knives made by a very talented and well known local Knapper, And they look awesome. Young man is very talented... here is a pic of some of his work Deb Skull Carving 2013 273.jpg I actually found a few artist on the internet doing some amazing skull, bone and antler carvings that make my work look like a kindergartners work, Looks like india has some really skilled people in this area. There are Some amazing artists out there.
