RJ--you are nuts! :) I am not throwing an arrow away if I can group it within 1-2 inches of other solid arrows. They cost too dang much!

Wait untill the 3-d game gets hot and heavy.I have lost a couple at 1 shoot before.Espescially if you get with a group of good shooters and you are putting them where they are supposed to be.;)

I know Michael Braden made the switch to Fatboys from aluminum for 3-d because he got tired of tearing up arrows. Those .012 walls crease really easy but I agree, they are great shooting arrows.

I'm going to shoot them as long as I can afford to. They are the best shooting arrows I have ever put through my bow. I don't know what carbon I would shoot if I went back. I'd probably go back to GoldTip and maybe try to get on with them.

With this bow I have slapped together I can shoot a fairly heavy arrow, which is awesome in the 3D game. Heavier=Bigger

I think my arrows weight around 380 grains, and I could almost shoot XXX's if I went back to carbon.

Matt - When I shot ASA (they were only in NY one year) I setup and shot 30x Pro's with their 100gr glue in points and blazers. They shot like darts, fantastic arrows. I'd still likely be shooting them or something like them if I was restricted in speed, but I shoot much lower poundage these days and it's tough to give up the speed I can get with a lighter arrow for IBO stuff. Everyone else is shooting 300+ from the open stakes in the IBO, and it's tough to give up that advantage.

If your gonna think about switching, shoot me a PM, I'd be happy to send you a couple of 30x Pro's that you can refletch up and see if you like them. I've got a small mountain of them here somewhere.

Just curious Matt, but what length and how much do they weigh? I might be interested in trying a few out, and mailing them back to you. Just depending on how much they weigh and everything. You can PM me if you wanna.

This is basicially the process I followed, but did not cut from both ends. Also, even after the initial elimination there were invariably a few arrows that didn't group well so they went into the "bad pile" as well.
