At a family wedding my grandfather leaned over and told me he was not going to hunt this year, but he wouled like a deer. I said sure Gramps I can buy up to 5 doe tags, so I bought two this year for my farm and one for my buddies. Be for I got up he looked at me and said "Jr I don't like those big deer, I like the little ones."

I laughed and said "I know Gramps". I called him today at 3:00 and ask in his area to process deer was ready, he said "are you going to get one". I replied "I am not going out there to sweat to death. I should call you around 7:30."

The night was almost over at 5:15 PM I almost shot this deer walking in. She was eating in the hay field we just cut. I was in the corn and she was about 35 yds, I elected to pass and got in behind her into my stand. I did not see diddle until 7:07 PM when she popped out of the corn field. She was alone with no fawns and looked to buy a perfect size deer for gramps. The shot was 8 yds and I was about 24 feet up in this tree(I shot porky out of), I was about 1.5 high and the blade of the rage caught the spine. She dropped right there and by the time I knocked another arrow she expired.

Preacher I should have text LDD, LOL

Nothing made me more happier than my Grandfather looking in the back of my truck and saying "Perfect Jr." My deer season is already succes this year, no matter what happens from here.

This was a speacial EAS hunt. Hunter orange was required to hunt because guns were allowed also. It made me feel dirty wearing orange:p I bought that hat today, I did not own an orange hat until today:cool:
