Huck and gang : Huck so sorry to see the swollen ankel, and to hear of the big buck still unrecovered, but I know bloodhound Ak Rob will find him for you. Glad to hear of all the close calls and sightings, even if caught with your pants down. I am pleased to hear of all the game seen as I was fearfull of too many hunters in a generally large location, might limit sightings. Not so... it seems. Great photos, Colo is so beautiful in the fall, I miss being there. Only a few days left, good luck to all, shoot straight guys ! HH in Pa :>)

Will I had very mixed feelings opening this thread. I wanted soooo much to be there with y'all. I'm sorry about your ankle and hope you start getting around better soon. I'll say a prayer about your buck being found. I've started saving for next year and have already told my boss at work I'm taking the time next year. I also ASKED my boss at home, lol, if I can go!

    Cougar,

I really was looking forward to meeting you this year. Next year for sure!

The scenery we're experiencing is beyond words. It makes a person feel very insignificant in the scheme of things. I'm looking forward to seeing the composite of everyone's photos. Moreover, I cannot wait to read all the first hand accounts, the fish stories (trust me, there's a fish story), and the yarns. I know young Matt (bz 711), from Illinois, is having the time of his life. He has been in on several of the elk encounters.

I have an air cast for my ankle. I repacked the truck last night. I'm ready to roll back the moment I can break away from work. I know Matt (Excel), from Australia, is heading towards the airport today. He's a lot of fun and will be missed during the final days.

    Greg, next year for sure!

Looks great. I love canvas wall tent hunting camps. Our GFY Camp group is thinking about buying a 18'x16' for four guys for next years Grouse Camp.

Huck: Which of your friends from "Down Under" Australia, know Howie from Australia. I was just chatting with him on Bowsite.com Chat and he wished his friends a good hunt and you a speedy recovery on the ankle. HH in Pa

Will, thanks for taking the time to share the pictures and story with us! Good luck on the ankle. I have a VERY weak right ankle that rolls very easiy. ibuprofen and ice!

Glad to hear you guys are having a great rut, we're getting squat up in my area in N. Idaho. With all these close encounters someone is bound too, or has, broken the ice on a bull!:ninja:
