I just moved here to the beautiful land of WI for the summer, and looking
to do some extensive shed hunting (and walleye fishing) on some private land. I've already been, but only briefly. My question is, have any of you, or know if the bucks have already shed their head gear? I figured they shed around February, but I'm not from here so I don't have a clue.

    Any help would be great!
    Thanks

They've just about all shed in WI by now. And its green-up.. so it will get difficult here pretty quickly to find bone.

    Not to mention the ticks!

I would say 99% of bucks have lost their antlers. January thought March is when most drop. With turkey season starting Wednesday it's going to be hard to gain access to private ground in my opinion. I gave up looking for sheds this season. I might be able to help you out with the walleyes thou. What part of the state you in?

from what i've seen they all have dropped, i'm sure somewhere there may be some that haven't, but for the most part they've dropped
