It has been probably like five weeks since Ive been able to sleep without having to set an alarm. Stuff to do every day and workers in my house banging away. Most of my stuff was moved out of the house today in preparation for our move. Time to sleep without a damn alarm set tonight.
You’ll probably wake up at the same time or earlier than your alarm call. I always do anyway. Either way. Have a great Saturday!
950. And I was up til 3am. Working a midnight shift screws a person's body up. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
The midnight shift is great to work, but it jags up everything around it. Sleeping in the A/C during the hot summer afternoons was my favorite part of working graveyards. Hate the heat and sun! I prefer cool afternoons during fall in a tree stand.
Wait a few years when you can't fall asleep and then when you do you wake up multiple times, laying in bed makes joints hurt at a certain point. I no longer sleep I just wait till morning.
Boy you got that right. Age has a way of talking to you. My back hurts every morning when I get up. Take an hour with the back support on to get it going again. Lot of times I wake up around 1 or 2 am and can't get back to sleep so get on the computer for a while.
I've struggled with restless legs for years. It's terrible. Add my midnight shift and some days on end I may only sleep 3 to 4 hrs a night. Must have woken up 10 times last night and do 60 to 80 squats to try and wear my legs out. Wish I could solve the issue but I'm finding it hard. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I get why Michael Jackson paid a Dr to knock him out so he could sleep. I mowed yesterday so my claves were tight all night, those middle of the night leg cramps are a treat I love it when it cramps and lasts longer than 30 seconds, a good cramp that pulls muscles just makes my day. How the hell is it possible to hurt yourself while you are sleeping?
^This. I attribute this to the consequences of beating my body up when I was younger. 5 or 6 hrs of (uninterrupted) sleep is a rare night...
Never worked a midnight shift, but while attending college, I worked a 4-midnight shift at a warehouse. Took me until 3 AM or so before I could wind down and go to sleep. I guess I should consider myself lucky. I am 58 and have no sleeping issues or middle of the night joint pains, etc. I am far from being in tip top shape and could certainly stand to lose 10 pounds or so but overall, I am pretty active and in decent shape. I do exercise regularly. If I don’t exercise for awhile, then yes, I might have the occasional restless night, but get back on the bicycle and I sleep like a baby.
The solution for that is gin and tonic. Also good for Sota's leg cramps. OK OK, it's not REALLY the gin and tonic. It's the quinine in the tonic.
I don't think that the tonic water has enough quinine to alleviate the problems but it is a good excuse to drink.
