First day of season was yesterday for me so I got up early went to the hunting club and got in my stand about 530 which gives me about 45 mins before sun up to get climbed and everything ready to go. sat all morning till around lunch and saw 2 small does then went and got my camera which was on a tree right infront of me on the trail im hunting. took the sd card out when up to the camp and checked it got a monster 8 point that must have passed me when I was walking in. it walked through at 5.

Good: You found a core area of his.
Bad: Sounds like he is still mostly "nocturnal"

You could risk moving closer to the bedding area but I would stay put. you are in his core area and when it gets closer to the rut he will cruse his main trails looking for a doe in heat. I would stay out of that stand until closer to prime time.

I agree with Cablebob. I wouldn't risk anything until later in the season and after the rut
