Hey guys! I am hoping someone might see this tonight. I have been asked to preach to my youth group tomorrow night so i am looking for a little help on a couple of quick 10 - 15 minute topics. I would like to try to find a way to relate it to archery/hunting and their daily lives. I am reaching out to all of you because I figure someone on here might have something that i can use as a base/foundation. I appreciate any help. Thanks, Dana
How about the importance of family bonding time. My relationship with my Father is strong because of the time we have spent over the years outdoors. On another topic you could highlight the enjoyment of Gods creation while in the field. You could mention the importance of taking time to enjoy and appreciate what we have been given. It's not all about the harvest, though that sure sweetens the deal!
Genesis 27:3 mentions bow and arrow and hunting. Isaac and Esau. The disciples were fishermen. The famous Fred bear quote about being twenty feet closer to god in the tree stand. Good luck
ey Dana, One real good comparison is the devil as a hunter and us as the game... using all 5 senses ...lures, calls (lies), camo (wolf in sheep's clothing) ... how we are watched (game cam), he sees our weakness .. The devil roams about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour....
I like that Tony. Couple it with Gen 4:7... "sin waits at your door and its desire is for you"... waiting to pounce. Like a hunter in a tree stand.
