A little photo editing

    I was playing with a few photos i have taken... I do not know anything about photo editing so i know i did a lot of things wrong...Any tips on what to do next time? Let me know what you think.

    Im in the same boat... I like over exposing everything myself but would like a good editing software with more options

    Nice photos!

    I think that you went a little too dark on the first two. Photo #1 you started to loose all your shadow detail, like the branches behind the doe. It doesn't look bad, but I think it creates and unnecessary void area. Same in #2, you are losing some of the guys face. In both I think you just took it a step or two too far.

    I think the third photo was done well, just the right amount of saturation and contrast.

    Editing software is great, but the key is using it to enhance not create your images. It's easy to push it too far. Again, they are great shots and look good, I'd just back off a touch in the 1st two.

    Thanks for the tips...i was thinking i went a little to dark on the first two also. Hopefully i can get a few more pictures that are good and edit those too. I love getting out there and takeing pictures.

    And i was just using a free trial of photo shop, i want to buy one soon to really start getting into it. What is a good software?
    I am from kansas city area
