Hey guys, I just wanted to write a little information about my best friend’s daughter, as they are in need of all our prayers. His daughters name is McKenzie; she will be turning 2 years old at the end of February. Her first year of life has been very tough on them; she has faced some very large struggles along the way. She had open heart surgery this past September to fix four holes in her heart; she came through that very strong. Then her leukemia had turned for the worse, just a couple weeks after finding out that one hole in her heart wasn’t fixed 100%. Without her heart being recovered all the way, they HAD no choice but to start the chemo two weeks ago. She has had numerous bone marrow tests and will need a bone marrow transplant. She has been in and out of the hospital many times this last year. She faces all this while having Down syndrome. They are a very strong family and I truly believe they will make it through this. I don’t know if anyone remembers the post I made back in October, my wife and I put on a great benefit dinner for her, including a silent auction, bake sale, and 50/50 drawings. We were very successful at raising money for the family. Now with all this information about her said, I personally just wanted to ask all of you to keep a little spot in your prayers for McKenzie and her family. Thanks, Dave
Little Mckenzie is in my prayers I am all to familiar with that ... some of you guys will remember Levi, Andrew's best friend and the student that we shaved our heads for .. he is in remission for the 3rd time! Miracle ......
Their whole family is in my prayers. I don't know how i would ever be able to handle something like that. You here stories all the time, and it makes what you think of having it bad isn't bad at all. I'm thankful everyday for what I have. God bless them!!!
