Sitting around yesterday, the boys and I decided we would make a fort. After looking around the house and finding some unused lumber, then a few trips to lowes searching the "cull lumber" pile...the fort became a treehouse (kinda)

It's not treehouse masters worthy, but they sure are enjoying it. Also reminds me how thankful I am I don't do construction full time anymore. :tu:

Early in they decide the sapling in front could be a fireman's pole.

Nice work! I have a feeling one of those is in my future.

Everyone needs a place of their own.

    Good job.

I know I'm posting the pictures and story backwards. I thought this was cool pre-railing.

The fort is awesome. Looks like quality family time for sure.

The chain on the "precision cutting device" is extremely loose. Be careful with that. The chain can come off and get you. Don't ask me how I know.

Don't be a safety Sally, that's a perfectly calibrated precision instrument.

I've built two ten foot tall platform blinds with the same thing. :tu:

Dang I knew I did it wrong when we had the swing set- fort with slide built in the yard, should have had it built in the woods when it could have been repurposed as a deer stand.

Thanks Greg. I knew someone would say that. It was tightened shortly after that pic.

Lol. I've been kneeling in the past cutting brush and had the chain come off and nail me right in the nads. Boss thought it was hilarious, me, not so much.
