I would say this week has probably been the most active week on the cameras all summer. One camera that generally has between 400-500 pics a week had over 1400. The two bucks in pictures 4-7 are both a go this year if they walk by. The buck in the second to last picture I had on camera in late May and he finally showed up again. He's looking great but I think he looks like a 3 1/2 year old. He will be very hard not to shoot if he presents a shot sometime while on stand. Anyone care to throw out some guesses on what these three bucks I mentioned might score?
I hope you're talking the right buck in the second to last picture. The left one is a monster. I love the drops. Great bucks and good luck this fall!
I'm talking about the deer on the left. I know he looks great but I think he looks young. He will probably be getting put on the hit list regardless. He's too nice to pass! I don't see how he would ever survive rifle season around here.
That is an absolute shooter! A couple years ago I had one similar to this and we argued for hours about how old he was, we finally settled on the fact that his head gear was so big compared to his body that it makes him look young. I would go with 4 1/2+ on him and like you said in Nebraska that deer won't survive rifle season. If you get the chance take him, chances are you'll never see him again if you don't.
