Hi guys and gals! I hunt in CNY and have had a great first two weeks. Here is my problem and forgive me if I sound ungrateful. I have seen a lot of deer and by a lot I mean several dozen in my 8 to 10 sits. Anytime I have seen deer there are so many at one time I cant draw my bow because there are so many eyes watching. Whats the secret for being undetected in that situation, I have not dropped a deer yet as I don't want to give away my location as the rut will be here before we know it! HEEEElLP
Have a cross bow handy, lol 2015 Matthews Z2 28in draw at 60lbs with truglo Rival Hunter sights Carbon Express with Montecs Ripcord cord red rest USMC Semper Fi Remingtion 887 and 770 Marlin 30-30
Its always a thought/worry for me. What I do to help first all is stand placement. I like to have something in the way to allow me to draw before they hit my shooting lane. Often a pine tree that I can shoot on both sides of but is in front of me. Many would cut it for better shooting lanes, but I personally like that. The other that I do is always when I see a deer, even if I know its just a button buck that I wont shoot, I get my bow in hand and ready. Often I have seen doe/fawn coming and not grabbed my bow because I wasn't going to shoot, then an animal I do want shows and Im so scared to even grab my bow, let alone stand and get ready. So get ready as soon as you can, even when they are far out and not shooters. And draw very slow, practices that and be able to even with several layers on. You can not win every battle, but you can stack the odds in your favor.
