So my daughter plays indoor soccer, we have been talking about playing with an attitude. The game starts and she's playing better the first 10 mins. Then I don't see her, I ask my mother in-law to go in the bathroom to check on her. She's in there puking, she comes out and I ask her what she ate before the game. She says a milk shake, she was at a friends. So in front of my mil I chew her out, because we have talked about eating junk before games. I send her back to the bench to watch the game and support her team. Two min later she is standing up ready to go back in. She comes into the game on fire, steals the ball from the girl and heads towards the goal. She chips the ball over the goaltenders head and scores a goal. She glares at me the entire time she trots down the field. Two dads ask me what was that look for, I said it's a big **** you to me, and I could not be prouder. Lol
Been there and done that. It is next to impossible to get them to understand how quickly some foods can sour on a stomach when you exert energy. Gets really bad when you mix ice cream /milk shakes and 90°+ weather. I always say my son has to learn lessons the hard way. Sounds like she recovered fairly quickly and it worked out. sent from my samsung note 2
Seems like I get that same thing from my daughter on the basketball court every weekend... Kind of pi$$es me off at the time but am proud of her abilities....
Good stuff....a day both of you will always remember with fondness...but just not today on her part, lol.
Yeah, had that happen last week at my daughters pitching lesson. She was pitching like crap, not focused and couldn't get anything right. Her pitching coach just ripped her a new one for about 3 minutes. Told her she couldn't do it, and really gave her hell. Pissed her off for sure, and the next 10 or 15 pitches were perfect. Then when she was satisfied that she had proven him wrong, she proceeded to go back to pitching like crap. We're still working on that killer instinct!
Haha, that's awesome. You're right though, diet is important, especially in soccer. I coached a local high school girls team. They would show up on the bus with gas station leftovers. I would get so mad, then they would put it on the team we played! I never used to eat before a game, that way all your body has to do is move and there's nothing to get sick on.
