Please take a look at the film of my son turkey hunting this past spring called 24 Hours. It, along with another film of him getting his first deer which will be released later, is touring the country in the Outdoor Film Festival and Tour and both films were selected as top ten in festival. The films are only available to be seen on the festival and tour and through HunterVids.com, which is the link I have included below. Please, let me know what you think!

    Thanks,
    Shane

Very nice. Beautiful footage you have there. Gorgeous birds, too! A valuable lesson for him, indeed.

Did he end up getting a turkey later on?

PinkPony, he did not get a turkey this past spring. He never even had another shot opportunity after this 24 hour time frame. So, he is pumped to get after them again this coming spring.

    Thanks for the comments,
    Shane

Thanks Hillbilly Jedi! He is determined to fill his turkey tag this coming spring, especially now after he has already filled his deer tag this fall for the second year in a row!

    Thanks again,
    Shane

With a name like clear image productions you had some grain in your footage.. possibly an ISO issue. Ok sorry that was bugging me. I really enjoyed the video I was on the edge of my seat with every shot taken.

Thanks for taking the time to watch this, and also for all the great comments!

quickscope, the grain that is in some shots you are talking about might be because of the low light situations we deal with when hunting. I am glad you liked the video anyways!

With this film I was using only the standard 18-55 mm lens. I normally don't use anything bigger then that ever when we film the hunts, because everything is often so close and if I do need to reach out with a further zoom, I just use one of my other canons for that. I like the light weight and portability of the smaller lens, but for B roll and things like that we use a various amount of lens.

    Thanks,
    Shane
