I would bet my left (or right) testicle that a reconyx camera will out perform your 119.00 camera.

It has nothing to do with price, and everything to do with quality, reliability, battery life, customer support, etc.

I personally own 2 reconyx cams, and have spend $575 for BOTH. If you keep your eye out, you can get some deals.

    It ain't even close.

You can play the "more bang for your buck card".......that's fine. But to simply same you get the same performance, is very foolish.

Not trying to start anything, but it's just very clear which camera performs better.

PS - I too have owned other cameras.

I never said this. I just said, one for one, the Reconyx blows anything else away, except maybe the BEC cams.

It's NOT the actual picture we are talking about here that's the difference...........that's where you are off.

    It's:

    -Battery Life
    -Customer Service
    -Reliability
    -Simplicity

    Ok
    1. battery life x6c 8AA batterys .. I am getting 3 month's on alkaline batterys
    2. customer service. Have not needed it. cams work flawless
    3. reliability. cams get tons of pics and videos, every time afield
    4. simplicity. easiest cam i have to set up. it is invisible on the tree no need to try and brush it in you may have to look around just to find it to check pics.

And yes there is a dollar for dollar in hunting no matter how you cut it.
I do feel that some cams just because they work, manufactures think they should cost 3-4-5-6 hundred dollars when my money could just as easy go towards other gear, and does

maybe i am just cheap or frugal after all it's just a pic of a deer.:poke:

1-Reconyx gets basically a year off 12 AAs. No other batts needed.
2- Good for you, bet that isn't the case in 12-15 months. Hope it is for your sake.
3- Good. But you will get more pictures per event with a Reconyx. Maybe that matters, maybe it doesn't. Personal preference.
    4- Again, personal pref.

It's a high end cost and tool (Reconyx), not disputing that.

It's the Mercedes of trail cams. 99% of people don't drive Mercedes. The ones that do, really really enjoy them. Same situation here.

Please post a pic of your Mercedes i love to see what the upper 1 percent drive.

Please show us little people how the big guys do it. :poke::lol::lol:

and at this point you gotta know i am just poking you right?

Really it's a pic of a deer. no more no less.
Sometimes it's all about confidence so i understand that line of thinking.

    Best of luck.....

I didn't mean like talking down to anyone. I meant it in line of everything. Their marketing, cost, service, etc.

Good luck. This post was started by a guy with Reconxy pictures....go to the first page! :)

ultramax, 1st let me say thats a great pic. Im not taking sides here because i can see both sides here. Personally i opt for more cams to cover more gound myself, but thats another story.

Now, i was actually looking at purchasing some of those X6c's until i saw the night pics. In the night pics that i saw the "light" was in the shape of a circle instead of being spread out throughout the pic. In your experience what have you seen? Im not trying to knock anyone's pics here, im just trying to learn something.

Please look at some of the cam review websites and see for yourself on the night pics. The only thing i could add would be to any cam with night pics can spook game and not to set cams in your hunting sites if there is that one chance of spooking your deer either by scent or nighttime flash of any kind.
Leadoperator if you would like to pm me i will share any pics and info you would like.

Other than that i am Re-con-d out of here
