Hold old is this deer? Are the time stamps showing 2011 accurate or is that camera just off?

I'm not so sure I would take a chance on this fella making it another year. I'm ashamed to say it but I can't tell how old that deer is for sure...I have a feeling he's probably peaked.

    Great deer though.

No sorry that cam took a swim and I forgot to reset the date before putting it out again :bash:
I believe he is at least 4.5 many folks on this site put him at 3.5. He did make a good jump in points from last year but tine length is lacking. Considering recent changes on neighboring property this guy will likely get my L/T tag hung on him if he gives me the chance. But until he sheds velvet and is under my stand it is anyone's guess..... I have bigger deer on this place but I have promised my Dad Lucky(150"+ pt) and I will be hunting a different place for the rut with my Gen Res tag for the Backyard Buck so if Cookie presents a shot early season, he may end up Cookie jerky

Okay thanks...good to know he gained since last year. Not sure why but I can't really age him and that's pretty unusual for me personally. His chest is really deep and he's pretty rough looking but his (body) frame is the big hangup for me...I was split between 'his frame is frail from old age' or 'undeveloped from lack of age'. As rough as he looks and smallish as his frame looked I was afraid he was far older than anyone realized and was starting downhill. Ithought this because of the way his hips look in the pic with the fawn behind him. His nose didn't look like an old deer's nose though and his head still looks healthy in form like a 3-4+ year old, his nose is just starting to crest so I'm guessing he's around the 4 mark.

Darned ticks and chiggars and mosquitos are rough on the poor things...I'm aways relieved when they are finally filled out for the rut and have their winter coat in.

Ya his coat looks super rough. Far more than most of the other deer around. If he dies early season he is gonna have a rough cape

He looks awesome, but I think he would be a giant next year. Aside from our side bet, I would really like to see what he would turn into. Either way, he still looks great. What are you thinking he will score this year?

Great looking buck. What he scored next year would be irrellevent if he got in range. The big question is, Where is that young man's Monster Raxx shirt?
