Here's a few bear pics from some of my clients this fall. Its been an extremely tough hunt for the last few weeks due to the very wet summer and tons of natural food in the bush. The blueberry crop was amazing. We've gone 8/11, with one guy hitting one that I tracked the next day for over 3/4 mile and the other two passed up 7 between 250 and 300#, but couldn't get on a 300#+. The big boars have been nocturnal, but a couple of hogs have been spotted in the last two nights. Overall, this has been the toughest bear hunting season I've seen. BH.com member Justin Pederson (SD-Bowhunter) Good friend Brandon Wikman from Bass Pro's Next Generation Myron- this picture does this bear no justice. It was a beautiful 250# boar, but Myron is 330# and dwarfed the thing! Greg Greg's "Chevron" Good friend Joe Nawrott, Brandon Wikman's cousin and cameraman Hopefully there'll be a few big boars to add to the thread later.
Very nice! I see you were able to put Brandon on one. You were saying how tough the weather was during that week.
Thanks again for the awesome trip Dan! I will definetly be up there again sometime. Looks like you've had a pretty good season up there to me!!
Thanks guys! I'm not complaining about the % of kills, more about the number of bears seen this year and the sizes. Its still been a great season. Oh, three more hunters shot bears tonight bringing the total to 11/14. Looks like its going to be a long night of skinning and quartering!!!!
Congrats Dan !! I can only imagine the huge amount of effort you put into this. Nice to see your hard work pay off with some good bear. Tim
