    I think a lot about this almost daily.... One of the biggest things overlooked is what the difference in income is. I don't necessarily love my field of work, but I can't find anything that pays even close that I would love. If I found it I would make a switch in a heartbeat though. I have a LOT of debt to pay off first though. I invested heavily in this career path. I will have it paid down in 5-7 years Im sure, but I can't afford to give it up right now either way.

    Yep, there's a lot of logic in that as well.

    We're a touch over 6 years in on her loans now and will be paid off fully in 10 months. The burden of carrying a second mortgage in student loans will finally be gone which does help quite a bit in the process of trying new things (or at least doing so from the comfort of my current full time job).
