    Loved that story and thanks for sharing. My Dad passed away in 2001. Damn, I miss him an extra amount today ..... I didn't know that was even possible.

    As said previously, I not only too my cap to you, but for your dad as well. I can only hope to raise my son with the values it seems your pop has instilled in you. I truly appreciate you sharing this experience with us, and especially for your dad giving the middle finger to anything and anyone who doubted him throughout this journey.

    I appreciate all of the comments, and messages I have gotten over this. It is a pretty special deer to him. He's already itching to get back out there and try his luck on another.

    I pulled the card out of the camera there and added a pretty cool photo to the original post.
