Got a couple of pics here for you guys. The first is a buck that I am not sure what is wrong with him but has a funky rack. Another is a young buck we are watching grow. A monster doe and the last is every one's worst nightmare. Another dumb trespassing a$$ clown! But any thoughts on the big buck would be appreciated. 003.jpg 052.jpg 099.jpg 034.jpg

Good idea. I'm actually surprised you had a cam to check after seeing that pic. I'd consider moving it now before it is stolen.

Yeah, that buck is sick man. Let your states dept. of fish and wildlife know about this. If it is CWD you don't want it to destroy any other deer.

I had a doe on my camera this year that looked like that first buck. I wanted to kill her and call in dept. of wildlife but I only saw her once and didn't get a shot at her.

That first buck is obviously sickly. He's boney and his rack has some abnomalities. I would shoot him, given the chance, and then call the Conservation Dept. Tell them you shot a deer that could have CWD, and they'll come take care of it, and most likely run tests. Most likely they will refund your tag price, too.

Looks like a tresspasser with a few moral values if he left the cam to you. That first one is really sick but the other two look healthy to me.
I would move that cam in case that guy has a change of heart and wants to come back and grab it up.

Definitely call dept of fish and game regarding the first buck. Maybe print the pic and take it to them. IF you shoot it, I wouldn't touch it. Don't gut, don't do anything. Just call fish and game and have them send someone out. In Indiana, they refund the price of your tag and/or give you a new tag.

That first buck most likely wont make it thru the winter, def contact your wildlife agency to see about cwd in the area. When it comes to tresspassers, were always going to have them. I would post on craigslist and most states have there own sportsman forum that you could post pics of him on as well. Make sure your property is posted well also in case you catch someone red handed.

You are lucky you still have your camera, because the criminal is looking right at it. Maybe you are like me and you secure yours to a tree with a chain, lock box, and pad lock. Even with all that, someone can still take it if they are determined enough.

That anorexic-looking deer is clearly sick. Maybe has a tapeworm, or worse could be cwd. I'd put him out of his misery, given the chance, scrap the meat and just take the antlers. Hate to let the meat go to waste, but I wouldn't feed something that looks like that to my family.

I was thinking the same thing. How lucky to still have the camera!

As I run a hunting business we have lots of cameras at the gates and the roads to get license plates or even ATV tabs. It's been a real blessing to be able to have proof with the local LE when this happens. Although we never had a photo of a guy stealing a camera we have had lots of pictures of trespassers on camera.

I have no idea what is in the mind of a trespasser/ poacher How can you walk thru another area when you know the legal guys are in full camo scanning the whole area and will see you walking thru there a mile away? Or photograph you! How does this seem okay in their minds? I would be busted in 5 minutes if I tried this!

If your camera is not locked up, I would add another more hidden camera to get his picture again!

The pic is from a buddies land. The trespasser was actually caught getting out of the stand by his dad. He is a hunting partner of the guy who leases the property next to his land. He knows we have more camera's down there and we know who he is, so stealing will only lead to him now. The biologist at our local Game and Parks wants this deer if we can get him. He interest is peaked by this deer.
