Double Brow, still getting pics of him every couple days at two different spots. Deer moved a TON on the 6th during the night, full moon.
Great buck! Do you have any daytime photos of any deer so I can see how the cam performs during daylight hours?
Yes Sir. Love this new camera, but to be honest I am not a fan of the black and white pics. This cam was purchased because it was small and has rave reviews about battery life.
I like the pics. Not sure that they are that much better then my Cudde. How's the battery life treating you?
It's only been out a week, but it was at 99% still. A set of 8 AA's (only have to run 4, but the other 4 are backup) are supposed to last 6 months...you better believe I am going to find out. I'll see how long they last and how many pics I get, daytime vs. night etc. I read one guy that had nearly 4000 pics before the battery died.
Nice photos, and what a great buck! I can't seem to get on any decent bucks this summer, but then again I never do. Somehow they just appear come October. Go figure. As for the cam - the Bushnell Trophy Cam is the same camera as the DLC Covert and Scoutguard SG550 just in a different case. I have an SG550 that I've had out for a few weeks with so-so results. Pic quality is decent enough and battery life seems great, but trigger speed is pretty slow. Getting lots of ass shots with it. Any similar experiences with the Trophy Cam? How about you Scott - how's the trigger speed on your DLC?
I only got one, but I had already got plenty of pictures of that deer. Really I can't answer your question just yet because I have them over mineral right now. When I start placing them on trails I'll be able to answer your question a little better.
I haven't had much trouble with missed shots. As of the last time I checked it I was at 3100 pics to date on it and still showing 2/3 bars left of battery life. Good so far.
Somewhat. The main differences with the cameras is the PIRs and IR night time photos. The Covert II (and I assume the Bushnell as it is a copy) have a few more LEDs and a 10* wider dispersion beam for brighter night pics with less of a spotlight effect with the SG550. The Covert II was made to have a much wider PIR as well over the SG550, so that it trips on motion much sooner for trail settings. This CAN cause problems at bait stations with half deer, but I haven't had any issues with that. Bushnell took the Covert II and renarrowed the PIR back down to not have that buffer zone. Brains of the camera are similar, just different cases, PIRs, and IR pics. Great pics OP!
Love mine. Took about 7,000 pics before I changed the batteries. It wasnt dead but I didnt want to miss anything in case they did die.
