This is the growth of a buck in one of my hunting spots.
As you can see by the dates his progress in growth.
I am very interested in seeing what he becomes after his January picture.

Looks like he will be a nice one. Here is the only buck that my camera has taken besides two very small ones. This is going to be my target I think.

Hope he grows into what the buck that was taken.
I hunted him hard and someone else got him, so there are people hunting in the area.
I am gonna pass on him this year, as long as others don't take him.
Here in south Jersey all the young bucks are masquer by hunting clubs doing drives.

I always love the "progression" pics. I had a set like that last year on the biggest 8pt I have ever seen. The pics started in late May and continued until late October. Saw him twice during the bow season but I'm pretty sure someone killed him during the gun season.

This is the first pic I had of the deer. Even at this early date, you could tell he was going to be special.

He had a very distinquishing mark on his left side where his shoulder meets his neck. This made it easy to keep track of him as the year progressed.

    Date is off

Date is still off but obviously 5 days later.

This was the first picture in the dark I got of this buck.

This is a good side view of the deer. You can still see the mark on his neck/shoulder area.

I'm sorry, the above pic is not him.

I didn't get any more pics of him until late October. This is the final pic I have of him, the only one in hard horn.

Thanks for helping me to remember this great buck and his story.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

    He was a beauty.
No pictures of him this year ?
You might be right that some one else bagged him.
He was a trophy for sure.

I just added the last pics to the post. My computer froze up after looking through so many photos to find him, so go back and check the rest of them out. I think he got shot on the second day of our gun season.
