Well, stuff happens. A buck that I had been watching for the last 2 years was killed on the neighbors land by a guy that he lets hunt there. I have over a hundred pics of this buck. The buck was in front of my stands a half dozen times when I was in a different stand or not hunting this year. He's nothing real special but I liked this buck and wanted to take him. Congrats to the hunter that killed the notch ear buck. There's more out there for me to hunt.
Looks like he'd already been in a few battles in that pic. Wasn't this one of the first you got pics if on the new land, looks familiar only bigger Good luck on the next hit lister
No, this buck showed up last year after gun season and hung around til now. The one in my avator hung around for 4 years and must of died last winter. No pics at all of that one for over a year. Time for a new avator!
Nice, I've slowly grown to accept these things happen and to not sweat them as much as I did in the past. I will simply do all I can to keep the deer from utilizing other properties more than mine but in the end realize by making my place better a neighbor will be blessed from time to time. It's the beautiful reality of hunting!
Def. looks like a mature animal. It's great you had all that history with him. Blessings..........Pastorjim Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
Brag? More like grievous loss, not much to brag about losing a deer but I appreaciate your joking jab all the same.
No big loss for me as I have other bucks that I'm interested in as well. Just pointing out that stuff happens. Sorry for your loss. lol. Sent from my Galaxy S3 and Tapatalk 2
Steve, the doe numbers are even worse this year. So are the fawn numbers. That long delayed winter was hard on them around here. Sent from my Galaxy S3 and Tapatalk 2
Lol, that's okay but thanks. He'll be replaced by another or two I'm sure. The guy that took this one has sheds from last spring of a giant in the same area with a 11" massive drop tine off the left base. He's been looking for him all season and the deer was spotted this fall coming off my property...maybe the next time this stoy will go the other way, lol.
Greg, that stinks but there are more out there for you, I agree with you on the doe numbers, seem down from the long drawn out winter. Hope you are feeling better and good luck the rest of the way. Scoot
