Great story Justin, thanks for sharing with us. I'm sure pops would have been proud, of the buck and the stache.

Good stuff Justin, congratulations on a great deer. I'm sure your dad is smiling down and proud. Haven't got out much myself this season but thankfully I have all of you guys blogs to read and I've been bowhunting vicariously through Bowhunt or Die episodes. Good job to you and the bhc staff!

I'm not sure about the stache part. He always used to tell me I needed to shave because I couldn't grow a real beard and I looked like an idiot.

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the story. This is the first time I've really set out to do something specific during my hunting season other than just kill "a nice buck" and it feels great to have accomplished that goal.

    Justin,

Congrats again. It was a great read and a fitting tribute to your dad. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure he is proud of the man you have become. Best wishes to you and yours, my brother.

    Great read Justin.

I wish I had the chance to meet your father, he sounds like he was a heck of a guy. I know how determined you were to get a deer this year from that spot and couldn't be happier when I heard the news. As frustrating as my season has been I still have hopes of dropping a good buck, you are an inspiration to soldier on:rock:

Great story, JZ. Sorry to hear about your pops. I was off the grid all summer, somehow I missed that.

    I raise my glass bro.

    To dads.

EXCELLENT read, Justin. Like other's have said, I certainly do not look forward to the days when my dad is no longer around. Your relationship with him sounds a lot like mine, so it definitely hit home. Talk about one heck of a way to end a season! Congrats!
