When was the last time we had a bowhunter as VP? Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan (currently chairs the House Budget Committee) seems to be getting some serious consideration for Romney’s VP. He is a hunter and uses a WI made Mathews bow even when there are so many better brands available to him. When it comes to fiscal policy, this guy is brilliant. This guy is the real deal (but then he is from WI so that goes without saying) I think he would make a great VP but I think he serves a far more important role in the house working to get the nation’s fiscal house in order. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Ryan Sent by rotary dial talk via my 1972 fax machine
He doesnt even have a place to live in DC. He has a cot in his office and returns to WI each week to be with his wife and kids.
I can see it now... Base camp with a campfire on the Whitehouse lawn. Libs complaining about the smoke.
Silly. He is a bowhunter. He is an able bodied bowhunter, you know, a manly man. He is not a crossbow hunter. Pfft. Sent by rotary dial talk via my 1972 fax machine
Well if he's a manly man then he could use the Sportsman main beam back pack. It looks pink to me. RC
I would be afraid he would appoint the guy that is always staring at me in this forum to a US Forrest position or something, we all know how Mathews guys stay loyal to each other.
One concern I have is that if Romney takes Ryan as his VP that it would be a lopsided ticket where the VP would make a better, more qualified president than the presidential candidate. We had that with Bush Cheney and Biden and Barry O. Sent by rotary dial talk via my 1972 fax machine
The fact that he shoots a Mathews does give him positive points that will offset the negative point that he's from Wisconsin. I guess Wisconsin isn't all bad. :D
A Mathews, huh? Typical righty. No shocker there. Next thing you tell me is he loves chicken sandwiches. And miracle whip.
Yes “Right”. Right on politics, right on bowhunting and right on condiments. A real Wisconsinite. We call that “representing” That’s how we roll up in here. Sent by rotary dial talk via my 1972 fax machine
That means a lot coming from a guy from TN. (sarcasm off) Actually, shooting a Mathews was the likely choice for an elected official from WI since it’s the state’s largest bow company and pretty well known world wide. I’m sure he will suffer through the Mathews bow for pictures and what not but likely hunts with one of the many better brands when the cameras are off. There are no better bows than Mathews. That is one positive for Wisconsin. Actually, I'm not from Tennessee. I just haven't had the opportunity to move since I finished my last tour.
There's something to be proud of. Even yoopers make fun of "wisconinites". That is bad. Do you own any Packer stock?
No, thats dumb. I dont get into team games. I own lots of stocks but all of them are actually worth something. Sent by rotary dial talk via my 1972 fax machine
